Meet George Sewell

I’m George Sewell, the director of Create Carpentry & Joinery. I’m a licensed builder with a strong carpentry and joinery background, and I’m hands-on across every project from planning through to installation and handover.

Originally from Hertfordshire (UK), I moved to Cronulla in 2013 and have worked across a wide range of residential projects — from detailed restoration work through to modern renovations and coastal outdoor builds.

Timber is still at the core of what I do — being a licensed builder means I can also manage the bigger picture on renovation work and coordinate trades when required.

What we do

We’re best known for:

  • Renovations and refurbishments (builder-led, trade coordination as required)

  • Outdoor living — decks, pergolas, screens, stairs, handrails and upgrades

  • Bespoke joinery — wardrobes, shelving, entertainment units, studies and storage

    Qualifications

  • CPC40110 Certificate IV in Building and Construction

  • City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 – Site Carpentry (UK)

  • CPC30211 Certificate III in Carpentry (AUS)

  • 20+ years experience in the building industry
